Alter-Ride offers a private door to door service that is both reliable and safe. We currently have six wheelchair vans that are all equipped with wide wheelchair lifts and are configured to carry both wheelchair and ambulatory clients together. Each van is maintained in house with our own mechanic and is serviced regularly. We are contracted through the Montachusett Regional Transit Authority which requires the vans to get an additional yearly inspection by them. All of our drivers are certified in defensive driving, wheelchair tie down, and are required to pass a drug screen pre-hire. In addition all drivers have a CORI and driving record run on them before they are allowed to drive the vans.
